Shell Modifications

Deep Heel Cup: For increased rearfoot comfort control 20-24mm, depending on orthoses type (see individual descriptions)

1st MT cut-out: To accommodate plantarflexed 1st ray and/ or sesamoiditis.

Rigid 1st Extension: For osteoarthritis or fusion of 1st metatarsal-phalangeal joint.

Medial Flange: To reduce medial drift off of the orthoses (severe pronator).

Lateral Flange: To reduce lateral drift off of the orthoses (severe supinator).

Additions

Heel Lift: To compensate for leg length discrepancy or equinus foot-types.

Heel Pad: To provide additional shock absorption and relieve generalized heel pain.

Heel Spur Accommodation: To relieve localized heel pain.

Metatarsal Pad: To elevatemetatarsal heads in order to relieve Metatarsalgia

Metatarsal Bar: More aggressive than metatarsal pads.

MT Head Cut-out: To relieve pressure from a lesion or plantar-flexed metatarsal.

Flexible Morton’s Extension: To accommodate a short 1st Metatarsal (usually accompanied by 2nd metatarsal pain).

Reverse Morton’s Extension:To accommodate long 1st metatarsal, a rigid 1st metatarsal and/ or sesamoiditis.
